Powwow Colors: Living in Green Bay, Wisconsin for many years afforded me the opportunity to attend Native American Powwows a number of times—indoors and out. On one of those occasions, I was shooting in a way that produced a painterly look on each of the photos. I’m still not sure how it happened, but I love the idea of movement and color.
